At St James we want all students to feel welcome from the moment they begin their primary school journey with us. Therefore we have a buddy program for all students in Foundation. Each Foundation student is paired up with one or two students from year 6. Foundation students and their buddies come together on a fortnightly basis to share in learning together. During the year the buddies are involved in a number of different activities including;
- Lunches together
- Special play times
- Reading
- Support in the playground
- STEM activities
